These courses for freight forwarders are a comprehensive overview of how to use the IATA DGR in shipping dangerous goods by air.

Employers are responsible for function specific training and assessment that is delivered in addition to this training. Employers are also responsible for certification and record keeping.

Topic examples in these courses include information on classification, identification, packing, marking, labeling, and documenting of dangerous goods.

Transporting dangerous goods by sea is a unique situation, due to the large quantities that are involved, the lengthy travel times, and other transportation factors (heat, humidity, exposure to water, severe movement, etc.).

The International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Dangerous Goods Code specifies the requirements that must be followed. A copy of the IMDG code is required to complete this training and is not provided.

Where national law permits, the comprehensive lessons within this course may be used to certify you to ship dangerous goods by sea, or as part of your organization’s competency-based training program if required by law.
